Purple Panda "SWEET PEA"

I just finished this cute little girl today and had to share her.  I made her out of Red Heart worsted weight yarn in Aran and Lavendar with an "E" Hook (Was trying to get that EXTREMELY tight). I created this pattern, and I didn't write it out (Sorry) but I had to redo so many pieces so many times that I probably would have been insane if I had tried. :P This little panda kept being rebellious.

Amara the unicorn

Amara (German for eternal, immortal, steadfast or beloved), was born today. She was made from White Red Heart Worsted Weight yarn and Deep Violet Caron Perfect Match Worsted weight  yarn. Embellishments may look familiar, the same roses on her bridle was the same that I used on Leise, Offray "Spool-O-Ribbon" made the bridle. The horn was made from Caron BRITES and details with DMC floss. Amara is 10" tall.

Amara's body didn't take too long to complete, her main took longer to put together than did her entire body!!!

I am going to take Amara to Ohio with me in attempts to make better photographs. She is a beautiful girl and my little junky camera isn't giving her the justice she deserves!

This will probably be the last entry for a while as I leave for Ohio on Wednesday morning. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and be safe!

And then comes Minna

I thought Leise was so cute that I created Minna. I actually made this body while I was in Alaska and just hadn't decorated it but when I was at Walmart tonight I stopped off to grab a skein of yarn and ran into these flowers, which perfectly match my bedroom. Hense, Minna was born. Minna is an Old German name that means "Love" and when you look at Minna I hope you just love her :) Minna is made from White Red Heart Worsted weight yarn, black DMC floss for the nose. Can't remember how long it took me to make her but it wasn't long. :) Yes, the Yarn Nerd loves her teddy bears :) Now I am working on an Angel Bunny, so be looking for this cutie to come along in the next couple of days

Welcome to my newest... Leise

Introducing, LEISE! Leise will be travelling ALL THE WAY to Fairbanks, AK to live with my Grandma Rinks! Leise is a German name which means "beloved of God". On her ear is a pretty purple flower, and before she leaves I plan to put a little bouquet of flowers in her hands to present to her new owner. It took me less than one day to make Leise out of Soft White Red Heart worsted weight yarn, 5mm eyes, and silk embellishments that came from Joann Fabrics and Crafts. The pattern is a copyrighted pattern that I am not able to place here, however, if you are interested I can tell you where to obtain the pattern!!!

Strawbearie

The first jointed teddy I made this week was so much fun that I thought I would make another. Introducing STRAWBEARIE LOL I suppose it pays to be off the internet for as long as I have been.  The flower and strawberry greens are made from felt. I just fell in love with Strawbearie when I finished her. Again, the project was very simple and short… my favorite type. J  I am still thinking that I may buy a little strawberry button to put on one of her feet, just something cute that will add to her.

Please keep checking back because I have a flower fairy idea in mind, as well as an angel bear that is in planning now. I am really getting into this teddy bear making LOL Actually, always have been.  Teddy bears are my favorite toy to make. They are loved by almost everyone who receives them, young and old, and are very pleasing to the eye.

Baby's First Teddy

Two days  before the party, Nazir informed me that we were invited to a party celebrating the birth of a baby girl, and since I enjoy making gifts for people, I came up with this. This project is from "One Skein Baby Gifts to Crochet, by Annies Attic"

The mother of the baby really liked it and I hope you do too.

Adorable Teddy Bear

This adorable, jointed teddy bear was completed in a relatively short period of time. I finished him totally in one day, and that is including a 4 hour picnic that I was unable to work on him. If you are looking for a fast project that is sure to steal the heart of the person receiving it, this is it.

The pattern is copyrighted and is not posted for the general public on the internet, it is actually in one of my yahoo groups. If you would like the pattern I will assist you in getting it! The great thing about this pattern is that it is easily altered. My next bear, Strawbearie, has a completely different appearance that was easily done.

This teddy bear is jointed with... you wouldn't believe it... DENTAL FLOSS. This was the recommended method by the creator and I just had to try it because I didnt' believe it. LOL Well it not only worked, it worked perfectly and I was tugging on it pretty hard and it didn't break. Amazing what tools a crafter uses in their creations, eh? LOL

If you like this baby come and check back. I have several that I am making now!

The Perfect Pony.

Tonight I completed the "Perfect Pony". It is an adorable stuffed pony that is approximately 18 inches tall and took me around 3 days to make, but keep in mind that most of my crocheting is done during my lunch and breaks at work :) The pattern to this project can be found at...

http://members.optusnet.com.au/we2/perfectpony.html

No doubt someone will just adore this pony. It is soft and cuddly, I just love him. I am hoping to make another and attempt to make it into a unicorn :)

If you make this one, let me know how it turned out. I had some issues with possible mistakes in the pattern. Regardless, it turned out ok with the few corrections I made... whether they were needed or not :)

CUDDLE ME BEAR

This is a pattern that is available on FREE PATTERNS.com

Cuddle Me Bear was the first teddy that I had ever made, and was so easy I had to make a second! LOL Here is the URL to the pdf file

http://www.freepatterns.com/fp_pdfs/Other/Crochet/Cuddle_Me_Bear.pdf

The second that I made, I used an H hook to make him bigger and added a music box that plays God Bless America. I will try to get his picture up this week!
