August 29 Halloween Black CatDon't let one of these cross your path, especially at Halloween. Introducing my newest little guy, an Amigurumi style Black Cat JUST IN TIME for halloween gift giving! For fun, here is a link that discusses the history of the black cat urban legends! This little black cat was made from Black Worsted Weight yarn, an F hook, and took me only an evening to create. Definately a quickie project which will get wonderful reviews from the recipient or anyone who may view him! This pattern will be available soon at http://www.katcrochet.com May 23 Aiko the Amigurumi BunnyI am on a crocheting spree!!! LOL Today I made this little Amigurumi Bunny :) I call her Aiko, which is Japanese for beloved one, or little one. I made her from soft white Red Heart yarn and an "F" hook. I did write out a pattern, which will be available soon at http://www.katcrochet.com It didn't take me long to make her, only a couple hours... and that includes writing the pattern. I do think I am going to change the mouth on this one. I think the yarn is too big, so I will probably change over to DMC floss.
I wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments on my work! It is always wonderful seeing these in my comments and in my email box daily. Really brightens my day, and I honestly think they make me want to create more and more.
May 22 Miniature Amigurumi Kitty or Keychain!I thought it would be a lot of fun just to have a little Amigurumi Keychain to match the rest of my Amigurumi attire LOL, this is what came out.
Pattern was written for the Amigurumi Keychain, will be posted on http://www.katcrochet.com May 20 DaisyTonight I completed Daisy, a little Amigurumi critter of my own design. She was very quick and easy, and rests comfortably in her little terra cotta pot. The best part about her is that she brightens the room even if I forget to water her. Her pattern will be posted eventually to http://www.katcrochet.com May 17 Newest little one ~ Nanook the Amigurumi HuskyYou all know I am TOTALLY obsessed with the Siberian husky. I love my boy, Rajah, and honestly... I think I could be totally surrounded by this breed. I love everything from their beautiful appearance, to their curious and sometimes bad behaviour LOL Well, introducing Nanook. He is my first Amigurumi husky. I will eventually perfect the features, but I think he turned out pretty cute.
Nanook was made using worsted weight yarn and a "F" hook. I made him in a day, and am currently writing a pattern (which will be on http://www.katcrochet.com soon :)

I found this pattern available for free online (As soon as I find the website I will post it, promise. :) Haven't had time to look for it and I actually translated these a while back). If you would like to see it, go to http://www.katcrochet.com Amigurumi Chihuahua crochet patternI recently created, and translated a crochet pattern for this amigurumi chihuahua which is available online for free. If you are interested, visit http://www.katcrochet.com for the pattern. April 27 Amigurumi Bunny Cell Phone HolderI completed this cutie a while back but I sorta forgot to put him on here. This Amigurumi bunny is actually a cell phone holder, and although it is too large to put in your purse, I tend to use it on my backpack when I am walking. I used white Caron worsted weight yarn for the body, a white pom pom for the tail, and the closure is just satin ribbon by OFFRAY. Just adorable :)
April 14 Little Amigurumi BirdieJust finished another little critter, an amigurumi birdie! Almost looks like a fat little parakeet LOL He is about 3 inches tall, baby blue and white worsted weight yarn, animal eyes, JUST SOOO CUTE! Also posted on http://krochetnkat.etsy.com for sale! Hello Kitty HandbagI just wanted to show off my little HELLO KITTY purse. I used white and pink caron and 1" satin ribbon for the bow. Isn't she cute? I have her up for sale at http://krochetnkat.etsy.com March 18 Kohana the Amigurumi 'ShroomThe last 'shroom I am making, Kohana is my favorite. Made with Caron Brites Watermelon and Caron Perfect Match White Worsted Weight Yarn, She took me only a little over an hour to make (And that included the several times I undid parts of her to make the shroom the shape I wanted it. Pattern is available on my website http://www.katcrochet.com
October 11 Amigurumi snailI made an attempt to crochet an amigurumi snail that I found on another persons website. I didn't write out a pattern that I can share (I think I am gonna make another one and make it differently), but I wanted to share this one at least. All in all, this project took me roughly an hour. She is 4 1/2 inches tall and I think she is adorable.
The website where you can find the original item by crochet artist, Beth Doherty. http://www.gourmetamigurumi.com She has some of the most creative crocheted amigurumi stuffies I have ever seen. This website is a must see. (Check out the shrooms and deer! Oh, ya, and the Moon bunny!) |
